'Sweetbriar' was chosen in honor of our life in and relationship with Christ which make living sweet, but also acknowledges the briars inherent in a sin-filled world (Micah 7:4a). 'Patch' is a nod to the CiRCE Institute, Wendell Berry, the Southern Agrarians, the Inklings, and Frodo Baggins & the Shire, and refers to rootedness, covenant community, and our own little patch of ground.
Just beautiful, Lynne! You are a fine seamstress!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Lynne. I haven't done hand needlework in years, and my sewing experience is very limited, but I can admire others' great work! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cindy! However, true confessions time! The embroidery and fancy stitches are all my sewing/embroidery machine. Well, there's also the stitches from my friend's machine, and from the loaner they gave me when I needed a new feed dog motor at T-minus 4 days!
